Self Directed Support
Self Directed Support (SDS) is a radical change to the way people with social care needs receive support. SDS gives a person the opportunity to work in partnership with others to identify their personal care needs and have choice and control over how these needs are met through the use of a personal budget.
Self Directed Support is being rolled out in Northern Ireland on a phased basis from June 2015. Vela Microboards NI can help anyone interested or in the process of receiving a personal budget.
